StockLive Launches Commercial Sales Platform

Since 2017, StockLive has supported the agricultural and livestock sectors, both seedstock and commercial, along with specialised working dog, equine and machinery sale events by providing cutting edge technology to complement and enhancing buyer competition and the overall experience of both physical and interfaced.

It is exciting for our wholly Australian, privately owned business, to launch our new Commercial Sales Platform designed by industry, for industry, to deliver efficiency for agents, cost-effectiveness for producers and data integrity for buyers.

StockLive is expanding its service offering with the launch of a dedicated, online-only Commercial Sales Platform, giving livestock producers an effective and competitive selling option.

StockLive is 100% Australian owned business that has built a strong reputation across saleyards and seedstock sales through live video interfaced bidding genuinely bringing the ‘live auction experience’ across thousands of live auctions nationwide.

Our aim as a business is to provide vendors with maximum exposure, buyers with ease of purchase, and agents with simplicity of use.

The Commercial Sales Platform builds on this foundation, providing producers with a new way to market livestock directly from the paddock while maintaining the trusted agent relationships and buyer transparency StockLive is known for.

“We have listened closely to the industry - producers, agents, feedlots, processors, buyers and transporters - and the message is clear: there is a need  for an independent, Australian owned, industry focused solution in this space,” StockLive Manager Libby Tyrell said.

“This platform is about giving producers, agents and buyers more choice and flexibility, while retaining the integrity, practicality and ensuring the simplicity remains that StockLive business and team are recognised for,” Ms Tyrell said.

The new platform will complement the extensive existing services options, offering a cost-effective, reliable and user friendly marketing and selling platform.

Following numerous successful multi agent commercial dairy sales in recent months, the expansion into the broader industry will commence this month with two significant herd dispersal sales:

  • - September 10: 2,500 Ultrablack, Angus and Wagyu breeders from the Australian Livestock Company, Blackall.
  • - September 18: 1,500 head herd dispersal.

From October, StockLive will host regular multi-vendor, multi-agent cattle sales, with Sheep sales commencing in November.

Auctions will run sequentially closing lots with short bidding windows, giving buyers a streamlined and more time efficient experience while facilitating strong market competition.

Buyers can easily “favourite” lots to receive alerts as they come up for sale, ensuring they never miss their opportunity to bid.

“The livestock industry is looking for efficient sales events that maximise exposure and create regular opportunities to market livestock. StockLive can now deliver that in a way that is the most cost-effective available, efficient to use and access and backed by trusted processes,” Mr Travers said.

The StockLive platform provides:

- Efficiency for agents through a streamlined listing process
- Cost-effectiveness for vendors with flexible selling options
- Data integrity for buyers and improved accuracy of livestock descriptions backed by national standards

StockLive is committed to supporting data integrity for vendors, agents, and buyers, ensuring trust and transparency across every transaction. As part of this focus on integrity within our commercial platform, users are required to be approved by StockLive.

For livestock to be listed on StockLive’s commercial platform, they must be assessed by a StockLive approved assessor. Our assessors are approved to independently assess livestock that are for sale.

Becoming an approved StockLive user involves a clear application and approval process to ensure consistency and integrity across all listings.
